A girl had to change her name because of Siri voice assistant and a new iPhone update

Following Apple's latest update, 26-year-old Siri Price from Edinburgh has been forced to change her name. Friends and colleagues now have to call her Siz to avoid constantly activating nearby iPhones.

Details

All because of Apple's voice assistant, which is also called Siri. It used to activate after the phrase "Hey Siri", so every time someone said hello to the Siri girl, the smartphones nearby "came to life" ready to execute voice commands.

But recently, along with an update, Apple shortened the phrase - the voice assistant now responds to "Siri" without the greeting. And that has made Siri's life even more difficult. The girl works in a gym, where there are constantly a lot of people, and she herself uses an iPhone. And every time someone talks to her, a chorus of voice assistants activates around her. "Now people can't even say my name. I'm furious," the girl admits.

Apple itself has yet to comment on the situation.
