Nvidia Quadro M6000 Features 24 Gb of GDDR5 RAM
NVIDIA has not presented officially their new 16nm graphic chips called Pascal yet. Both insiders and outsiders think it will happen in April. Meanwhile the company decided to update some of their current solutions. In particular they updated NVIDIA Quadro M6000. This card based on the GM200 chipset Maxwell is quite efficient even without the update. Marketers in NVIDIA decided some extra memory will not be a waste feature. Especially it the price remains the same..
The chipset clocks at 988 MHz (in Boost mode it sports 1140 MHz) and has 3072 CUDA cores. The card fetures profuse 24 Gb of GDDR5 RAM clocking at 6600 MHz and 384 bit bus. It supports DirectX 12, OpenGL 4.5, Vulkan, nView, GPUDirect, SLI, CUDA, OpenCL, DirectCompute, Mosaic and Quadro Sync and costs around $5000.
