DJI Avata: 18 minutes of flight time, speed up to 100 km/h, recording 4K video for $630
DJI has unveiled the DJI Avata, a compact maneuverable drone that measures 180×180×80 mm and weighs 410 g.
Here’s What We Know
The drone can climb to an altitude of up to 5 km and move up to 10-11 km away from the user. It is also able to reach speeds of up to 97 km/h. In normal mode, this figure drops to 29 km/h, in sport mode - 51 km/h. But battery life is not the strongest side of the novelty: one battery charge will be enough for a maximum 18 minutes of flight.
DJI Avata is equipped with a 48-megapixel camera with an optical sensor format 1/1.7 inch and a viewing angle of 155 degrees. As a result, the user can shoot 4K video at up to 60 fps or 2.7K video at up to 120 frames per second. There is a stabilization system. The internal memory of 20 GB is enough for 30 minutes of recording, but there is also an option to add a microSD card up to 256 GB.
The drone is controlled by a special controller.
The basic kit comes with 3 additional sets of propellers, a screwdriver, a Type-C cable, a power supply and a battery.
Here's What It Costs
The base version of the DJI Avata costs $629. There's also a set with the new DJI Goggles 2 for $1388 and a set with the old DJI FPV Goggles V2 for $1168.
