What is in the Box

The packaging breaks the uniformity of TWS earphones: in addition to the charging case and USB cable (Type-C, of course), it includes a soft carrying case and seven (instead of the standard three) options of rubber ear cushions - XXS/XS/S/S/M/L/XL/XXL. Moreover, they all differ in color (why the hell didn't anyone think of this before? because now it's so easy to pair them up even if they suddenly fell apart).

Appearance

The Edifier NeoBuds S are available in black and have a modern, streamlined look. The earphones are constructed of plastic and feature a matte finish.

The charging case is made of durable material that's stain-resistant and leaves no fingerprint marks. It has a smooth, natural feel to it, with the metallic surface adding distinction and movement. The indicator bar can light seven different colours (including red), which may be modified via the Edifier Connect App.

Hybrid Drivers Technology: Explanation

The goal of hybrid  earbuds is to create a sound with the best qualities from both dynamic and balanced armature drivers. The term "hybrid" was created as an example describing this technology, which combines two different types or technologies in order to produce beautiful sound. The balanced armature driver is typically found in higher-end earbuds and is known for its durability and exceptional sound quality.

The Neobuds S Earbuds boast a hybrid driver with a Knowles balanced armature and 10 mm neodymium dynamic drivers. Knowles is a world leader in the manufacture of balanced armature speakers. These highly specialized elements, originally developed for critical applications such as hearing aids and other high-end equipment. As such, they offer improved fidelity over traditional dynamic ones because they are smaller but provide more power with less power consumption, making them ideal for any type of audio device you might use at home or at work.

The tiny tongue is balanced between two magnets, and the movement of this balance is transferred to the aluminum diaphragm for clarity of sound. They are free of unwanted resonances in the audio range, making them excellent earphones. With a hybrid earphone, you can enjoy the benefits of both balanced armature drivers and dynamic speakers. This configuration will provide clear highs without sacrificing bass or mid-range sounds.

Edifier NeoBuds S in Use

I paired my new purchase to the iPhone and had a play. Wow! The sound was amazing – I could hear little details in it that before, when using other TWS-buds, weren’t clear at all due their poor quality speakers not doing what they should do which is let you know if someone calls or messages while playing music through them without any interruptions from other noises around us like phones ringing etc. The bass response also works pretty damn good; there's plenty of punchiness with each hit whether its an electric guitar part during garage band sessions.

Noise Cancellation

The world is a noisy place and sometimes we just need to concentrate on our own thoughts. That's why NeoBuds S has an active noise cancellation technology that will let you enjoy your music or podcasts without being interrupted by outside sounds! The level of reduction can reach up -42 dB, making it perfect for those who want some peace and quiet when they're trying really hard at work (or school).

Ambient Noise Mode

This may sound like a crazy idea, but have you ever tried listening to your music with the volume down? It's really hard because we are typically used of having everything around us be louder than anything else. This includes other people talking or traffic noise in addition all sorts of environmental sounds such as birds chirping outside our window while someone is cooking lunch next door! If this has happened before then I'm sorry but there isn't much that can happen again since turning these things off completely would make life too dull for most people — thankfully though ambient mode helps solve both problems by letting listeners hear their surroundings without detracting from whatever song/metal mix podcast.

25-Hour Playtime (Actually, no) with Fast Charging

The manufacturer promises up to 25 hours of Edifier NeoBuds S earphones runtime with a charging case. In fact, we are talking about "greenhouse" conditions with noise cancellation turned off. Then the power (according to the specifications) should be enough for 6 hours. Another 19 hours of work should be provided by the charging case (3 full charges plus). In practice, with active noise cancellation and maximum volume, the charge was enough for 4 hours of operation. And three more times you could charge the earphones using the case. But even 10 minutes on a full charge in fast charging mode means 1 hour of music out of your earbuds before another charge is needed.

Ultra Low Latency for the Best Gaming Experience

Edifier's new NeoBuds S headphones were designed for gamers with ultra-low latency (manufacturer claims 89 ms). This means you won't miss a good sound due to connection lag or other distractions. But it's worth remembering that reduced latency comes at a price - sound quality suffers. However, during the game fuse, the lack of delay is more important than the quality of explosion and shooting sounds.

IP54 Dust and Water Protection

The Edifier NeoBuds S earbuds are ideal for a variety of activities, from working out to running. They are IP54 rated, making them resistant to dirt and water. The IP54 rating means that the device is protected against dust and water splashes, but allows limited penetration from all sides.
