Buyers of Tesla Cybertruck electric pickup trucks can save $7500. The vehicle is approved for a tax credit, but there's a nuance.
Here's What We Know
According to the U.S. Department of Energy and the Internal Revenue Service, buyers of two Cybertruck configurations will be able to get a $7500 tax credit. We're talking about the all-wheel drive and rear-wheel drive versions priced at $79,990 and $60,990 respectively.
The nuance is that only the $99,990 three-engine Cyberbeast package will be available until the end of 2023. It's not approved for the tax credit, as the exemption applies to electric cars costing less than $80,000.
