Xiaomi revealed the SU7 smart electric car, it will compete with the Porsche Taycan Turbo and Tesla Model S
Xiaomi on 28 December held an event in China, dedicated to the technology for the future electric car of the brand. In addition, the Chinese manufacturer for the first time officially showed the novelty and told some details.
Here's What We Know
So, the electric car will enter the market with the name SU7 (Speed Ultra 7). The novelty will be available in two modifications (rear-wheel drive and all-wheel drive), as well as in three colours: Aqua Blue, Mineral Gray and Verdant Green.
The car will be able to travel up to 800 kilometres on a single charge. In addition, the electric car will support fast charging (up to 220 kilometres in 5 minutes and up to 510 kilometres in 15 minutes). The SU7 will come with several driving modes, Brembo braking system and various safety assistants. The car will be able to accelerate from 0 to 100 km/h in 2.78 seconds and to 200 km/h in 10.67 seconds. The claimed top speed of the SU7 is 265 km/h.
The interior of the car will have a large display with a multimedia system based on HyperOS. The novelty will still be able to boast an autopilot. Various sensors and a proprietary chip will be responsible for its work.
When We Can Expect It
There is no exact release date for the SU7 yet. Presumably, the car will be announced in 2024. The novelty will compete with various electric cars in this class, including the Porsche Taycan Turbo and Tesla Model S.
