Porsche is adding the 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid versions to its Panamera range of hybrid vehicles. The new plug-in hybrids are characterised by improved acceleration and driving performance. The vehicles demonstrate the benefits of the E-Performance concept with more power, better throttle response and shorter battery charging times. The range on electric power has been extended to 96 km thanks to 88 kW of regeneration. Porsche Active Ride suspension is available as an option for the new models.

The charging capacity of the car is 25.9 kWh, and the new high-voltage battery provides approximately 45% more capacity in the same dimensions as previous versions. The updated 11 kW AC on-board charger reduces the charging time to 2 hours and 39 minutes, according to the manufacturer. The new 140 kW (190 hp) electric motor with 450 Nm of torque provides more power than its predecessor. The design with an internal rotor rotating inside the stator halves the inertial masses, which improves the vehicle's handling.

Adaptive Two-Chamber Air Suspension

All versions of the new Panamera come with adaptive 2-chamber, 2-valve air suspension with Porsche Active Suspension Management (PASM) as standard. The optional Porsche Active Ride suspension system provides enhanced grip and cornering. Each shock absorber is connected to an electrically driven hydraulic pump and is powered by a 400-volt system. According to the manufacturer, while driving, the suspension "almost completely" absorbs body vibrations caused by bumps in the road and keeps the car horizontal during manoeuvres. The shock absorbers can adjust their position up to 13 times per second, which should create a "lightning-fast" response to the road surface. The new suspension can also overcompensate for tilt and roll, as well as body lift when the driver or passenger gets in and out of the vehicle.

The extended standard equipment of the Panamera includes:

  • ParkAssist system
  • wireless charging for your smartphone
  • Rear axle steering
  • new Remote ParkAssist function
  • Porsche InnoDrive with Active Lane Keeping Assist
  • display for passengers
  • air quality control system.

The model is available in Executive body with an extended wheelbase in selected markets (not available in Ukraine). For this version, 4-zone climate control and a large centre console are standard.

Differences of the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid

The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid e-hybrid system is combined with an upgraded 2.9-litre turbocharged V6 petrol engine (224 kW / 304 hp). The output of both power units is 346 kW (470 hp). With a maximum torque of 650 Nm, the model accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 4.1 seconds and has a top speed of 280 km/h. The Panamera 4 E-Hybrid comes with 19-inch wheels, black brake calipers and matrix LED headlights as standard. A high-resolution matrix HD system is available as an option.

Differences of the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid

The Panamera 4S E-Hybrid is characterised by even more dynamic driving and sustained power delivery in the upper rev range. Its 2.9-litre 6-cylinder biturbo engine has an output of 260 kW (353 hp). The total output of the two power units is 400 kW (544 hp) and the maximum torque is 750 Nm. The Panamera 4S E-Hybrid accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in just 3.7 seconds and reaches a top speed of 290 km/h.

The Panamera 4S E-Hybrid features 20-inch Panamera AeroDesign wheels, silver Sport exhaust pipes and red brake calipers (Acid Green and black optional). The brakes of the Panamera 4S E-Hybrid are fitted as standard with 10-piston brake calipers on the front axle. Optionally available for this model are PCCB (Porsche Ceramic Composite Brake) ceramic composite brakes in combination with 21-inch wheels. The ceramic composite wheels measure 440 mm in diameter at the front axle and 410 mm at the rear.

Availability to Order

Deliveries of the Panamera 4 E-Hybrid and 4S E-Hybrid in Europe will begin in the second quarter of 2024. In Ukraine, the new Panamera plug-in hybrids will be available for order at the end of March.
