New renders of the Huawei Mate 60: bigger camera and a return to the Mate 40 design
Huawei this year should present a new flagship line of smartphones Huawei Mate 60. Information about the gadgets is still scarce - not even known approximate release dates of the flagships. But insider Digital Chat Station shared a render that shows the rear panel of the Mate 60.
Here's What's New About It
It looks like Huawei has decided this year not to experiment with design and go back to the developments of 2020, namely the look of the Mate 40 (in the main image). The main camera is designed as the same circle, only it's slightly larger. Inside the circle, there is no longer a Leica inscription - it has been replaced with XMAGE. This inscription indicates that image processing will be done in-house by Huawei.
From previous leaks, we know that Huawei will also bring back the oval cutout in the display for the front camera and facial recognition sensor. Incidentally, the P40 and Mate 40 series had a similar design in 2020. Only this time the cutout will be located in the centre instead of on the side, and will be reminiscent of Apple's Dynamic Island.
For comparison, the 2020 flagship is the Huawei Mate 40 Pro
The Mate 60 is rumoured to get a 6.7-inch OLED display with 1.5K resolution.
