BestBuy has decided to lower the price of the ASUS ROG Ally handheld gaming console with Ryzen Z1 chip. Perhaps such a step will help spur demand for the console, which is inferior to the more top version based on the Ryzen Z1 Extreme processor.

Here's What We Know

The Ryzen Z1 chip has six processing cores and four RDNA 3 executive graphics units. The console has a Full HD display with 120Hz refresh rate, 16GB of RAM and a 512GB SSD drive.

The official manufacturer's recommended price of ASUS ROG Ally with Ryzen Z1 processor was $600. It turned out to be $100 cheaper than the version with Ryzen Z1 Extreme. The standard model appeared on the market later, so it was not warmly welcomed by users.

The release of a new version of Steam Deck with OLED display did not affect the fate of ASUS ROG Ally in the best way. Perhaps another price cut will improve the situation. BestBuy offers to buy ASUS ROG Ally for $400. The shop also sells consoles in open boxes for $300.

Interestingly enough, ASUS is selling the ROG Ally in its shops for a starting price of $600.
