16-bit platformer Gargoyles Remastered will be released in October
If you are over 30 years old, there is a high probability that you are familiar with the classic 1995 16-bit platformer Gargoyles, and now we have good news for you - an improved version of the game will soon be released for modern platforms! This was recently confirmed by Disney.
Here's What We Know
Gargoyles is a 16-bit side-scrolling adventure game developed by Disney Software and published by Buena Vista Interactive for the Sega Genesis in 1995. It is an adaptation of the animated series of the same name.
The game follows the main plot of the show, where the player controls the main character Goliath, who has to destroy the Eye of Odin, a corrupted magical talisman that can transform anyone who wants to take possession of it.
The game consists of 5 levels, which are accompanied by short cinematic clips explaining the story, and each level ends with a boss encounter. Throughout the game, Goliath will compete with the Vikings who sacked Castle Wyvern, as well as with new robot enemies that attack him in the modern era in various locations, such as the rooftops of Manhattan and the subway.
When We Can Expect It
Gargoyles Remastered will be released on the 19th of October on Xbox One, Nintendo Switch and PC (Steam, GOG).
