Popular journalist Louise Blaine takes up position of creative director at Blumhouse Games

Louise Blain, a journalist and radio presenter, has joined Blumhouse Games as Creative Director.

Blain is a well-known gaming journalist and horror specialist. She previously hosted the Sound of Gaming podcast on BBC Sounds and has now teamed up with President Zach Wood and CFO Don Sechler at Blumhouse Games to "help identify and vet potential partners and game ideas, and deliver unique and creative experiences in the horror gaming world".

"Louise brings an encyclopedic knowledge of horror across all media, particularly in video games. Her creative lens and prior experience in genre perfectly aligns with our goal of delivering unique and creative horror game experiences to our audience."

Blumhouse Productions is a well-known film company that has created many successful horror films over the past two decades. They are known for such films as Paranormal Activity, Sinister, Insidious, The Purge, and others. In February, they announced the creation of Blumhouse Games, a gaming division that will specialise in publishing indie horror games for various platforms, including PC, consoles, and mobile devices.
