Massive Monster won't remove indie roguelike Cult of the Lamb due to Unity's new economic policy

Recently, Unity management announced a new developer fee policy and Massive Monster announced that it will remove Cult of the Lamb from store shelves on January 1:
As it turned out, it was just a joke.
Here's What We Know
The game's developers were surprised that one small post on Twitter caused almost a hundred news stories from various publications about their game, and some of them even reported that the game had already been removed.
However, this does not cancel the protest expressed by Massive Monster because of the intention of Unity executives to charge developers for the number of installs of their games.
