Number of copies of EA Sports FC 24 sold exceeds 6.8 million
Despite its notoriety among certain communities of gamers, FIFA, which was recently reborn as EA Sports FC, has always been a profitable series for Electronic Arts and EA Sports FC 24 is no exception. According to the Financial Times, the number of copies sold during the early access period exceeded 6.8 million, which is 35% more than FIFA 23 sales during the same period last year.
Here's What We Know
It is worth noting that the game was also made available to EA Play subscribers (and Game Pass Ultimate subscribers, respectively) for 10 hours before the release, so the total number of players may be even higher than the number of copies sold.
As for the scores, the game received a positive 77 on Metacritic, but a devastating 30 from players. On OpenCritic, the score is still at 76 points. Players complain about a large number of bugs, scripted mechanics, a poorly implemented career mode, etc.
Where To Play
EA Sports FC 24 is available on PlayStation 5, Xbox Series, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
