The release of the tabletop Warhammer: The Old World will be released next year
Games Workshop announced during Warhammer Day 2023 that the re-release of the original Warhammer: The Old World will be released next year.
Here's What We Know
Warhammer: The Old World was announced in 2019 and will be set in the Warhammer Fantasy setting, not Age of Sigmar. If you've played Total War or Vermintide, this is the version of the setting you know well - a map that resembles Renaissance Europe and its surroundings, with the forces of Chaos approaching the borders.
One of the fully revealed armies is the Kingdom of Bretonnia, with figures of peasants and knights. Some of them are made of resin, such as the lady's maid who carefree goes into battle, while others will be available in plastic, like the peasant archer units.
"These regiments and other future regiments are returning in boxes that contain enough plastic miniatures to make a full regiment. not just a rank or two. With the Peasant Bowmen box, you’ll be able to build a unit of 32 archers, complete with a command group and Defensive Stakes. So dreams of creating massive armies of ranked-up troops will be well within your grasp."
