Between game and film: Kojima Productions' OD horror game has been announced
Hideo Kojima has long dreamed of blurring the line between gaming and cinema, and finally his idea has been realised.
At The Game Awards 2023 Kojima presented the game, which he is working on together with Xbox Game Studios. It was a horror game called OD.
Here's What We Know
OD is a project that will organically combine game elements with cinema. In the debut trailer, as always with Kojima, nothing is clear, but the game looks conceptual and interesting.
The trailer shows close-ups of the characters' faces, played by Sophia Lillis (It) and Hunter Schafer (Euphoria).
The characters try to speak in shorthand and if they fail, there is a shrill creaking of doors and, apparently, some sort of punishment awaits them.
The project was co-written by Jordan Peele, director of Nope and Get Out.
OD release date is unknown.
