Insider info: the next instalment of Call of Duty (2024) will use maps from the Black Ops series
Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023) has not yet been released, and insiders have already started to report details about the next part of the most popular shooter series.
Here's What We Know
It's no secret that the multiplayer modes of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare III (2023) will feature 16 restored maps from Modern Warfare II (2009). According to user CoD_Perseus, the trend of adding old maps will continue in the next game. In particular, Activision may use WMD maps from Call of Duty: Black Ops and Grind from Call of Duty: Black Ops 2.
In turn, journalist Tom Henderson said that the developers will not be limited to two locations from past games, and will add a number of maps from the entire Black Ops series.
According to his information, the maps will be recreated from scratch and adapted to modern gameplay, but their use allows you to reduce the development time of the game without significant losses in quality.
Recall, the release of Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 will be held on 10 November on PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PS4 and PS5.
