Metal Gear Solid 4, MGS V and Peace Walker could be coming out on modern platforms. Dataminers found confirmation that Konami is preparing the second Master Collection compilation
After the announcement of Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1, which included the first five games of the cult series of stealth action games, there were reasonable assumptions that Konami is preparing a second collection with the rest of the franchise.
An indirect confirmation of these intentions has appeared.
Here's What We Know
Yesterday Metal Gear Solid: Master Collection Vol.1 release took place and datamayners started to investigate the collection files, and they found references to Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots, Metal Gear Solid: Peace Walker and Metal Gear Solid V: The Phantom Pain, which clearly indicates the publisher's plans to release these games on modern platforms.
What's most notable about this news is that for the first time since its release in 2008, Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots may release outside of the PlayStation 3. Despite numerous requests from fans to port the game to other platforms, MGS4 remained an exclusive to the Japanese console the generation before last.
