The Evil Within creator has hinted at a possible sequel to the acclaimed horror series
Fans of survival-horror genre and game designer Shinji Mikami's work have been hoping for the release of the third part of The Evil Within series for many years, but unfortunately, Tango Gameworks and Bethesda are in no hurry to announce the sequel.
Their hopes were finally dashed after it became known that Shinji Mikami is leaving Tango Gameworks. However, the latest announcement of the Japanese developer has excited The Evil Within fans once again.
Here's What We Know
On his Facebook page, Mikami left a cryptic message, "Psychobreak, maybe we'll be back".
Recall that Psychobreak is the name under which both parts of The Evil Within were released in the Japanese market.
It remains unclear whether the game designer is referring to Tango Gameworks or maybe the rights to the game are still in his possession, but it looks like The Evil Within 3 may still come out at some point. Or perhaps a re-release of the first instalment is implied?
We await clarification from Shinji Mikami.
