Call of Duty adopts Far Cry concept: 2024 shooter will feature a full open world
Authoritative insider Tom Henderson continues to reveal interesting details about Call of Duty games. This time he told about the game with the alleged name Black Ops Gulf War.
Here's What We Know
Insider Gaming sources reported that the developers from Activision and Raven Software studio will add to the story campaign of Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War spacious locations, which can be called open world. The concept was first (unsuccessfully) realised in Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 3 (2023), but the next game will be much larger.
According to Tom Henderson, the new Call of Duty concept is reminiscent of the Far Cry games, where players can move freely through spacious locations on foot or by vehicle, as well as using the fast travel option, but there will also be traditional for the series linear missions.
It seems that the open world will be a feature of not only Black Ops Gulf War, but also further parts of Call of Duty, as the game of 2025 is created with an open world in mind.
When We Can Expect It
Call of Duty: Black Ops Gulf War is expected to be released in 2024. Usually, the games of this franchise are released in autumn, so in all probability it will be the end of October or the first half of November.
