Insider: Microsoft will release Gears of War games on PlayStation for the first time
Recently it became known that Microsoft and The Coalition studio are working on a compilation of updated versions of old parts of the cult shooter series Gears of War (now the series is called Gears).
Obviously, such a project is being created for PC and Xbox Series, but perhaps the cult shooter series will be available for PlayStation users for the first time.
Here's What We Know
During the Game Mess Mornings podcast, respected journalist and insider Jeff Grubb revealed that Microsoft is seriously considering releasing Gears Collection on the PS5. Grubb emphasises that his sources can't yet confirm the information about Gears Collection releasing on PS5 100%, but it's most likely true.
The insider claims that this decision will be another step towards implementing a new strategy whereby Microsoft games such as Starfield, HI-FI Rush and Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will be released on competitors' consoles.
At the same time Grubb questions the demand for the Xbox ecosystem if the company's games will become multiplatform and will be available to the maximum number of users.
Microsoft has not yet commented on the information about the release of its games on PlayStation, but next week the head of Xbox Phil Spencer will make an important statement.
