Improved engine and similarities to Valhalla: insider reveals new details about Assassin's Creed Red
Ubisoft is in no hurry to reveal details about the Assassin's Creed Red action game, but Tom Henderson's sources have revealed new information about the game.
The insider claims to have seen gameplay footage of Assassin's Creed Red and is ready to share interesting details.
Here's What We Know
The game is created on the updated and improved Anvil Pipeline engine, on which all (or most) of the next Assassin's Creed parts will work. Thanks to the increased technical capabilities, the developers will significantly improve the lighting and geometry of objects, as well as increase the realism of all animations in the game.
According to Henderson, many elements of Red are taken directly from the past parts of the series, but the most similarities are observed with Valhalla. This is reflected in the open world structure, the combat system and the overall approach to gameplay design.
In Assassin's Creed Red, players will experience brutal fights, accompanied by blood splashes and severed limbs. There will always be an option not to engage in open combat, but instead to eliminate enemies stealthily, and according to Henderson, this aspect of the game is reminiscent of the Splinter Cell series.
Users will be offered many tactical options: hiding in shadows, hiding in tall grass, extinguishing light sources, and sneaking into houses. For the first time in the series there will be an opportunity to lie on the ground to blend in with the environment and remain undetected.
Another similarity with Valhalla will be the ability to build and develop your own settlement. Gamers will be able to choose which buildings to build, and they will also be offered to customise the design of individual elements of buildings, such as roofs and filling interiors. In the settlement it will be possible to display all the weapons and armour obtained to admire them.
When We Can Expect It
Assassin's Creed Red is due for release in autumn 2024, but the game could also be pushed back to early 2025 - until March 31.
