Have you ever wondered how the mafia world works? How do people get in, how much do they earn, and is it true that the only fun the mafia has is bars and girls? To test these hypotheses, you have two options: become a mafia member (we do not recommend this) or play the Mafia trilogy of games that capture the atmosphere of this mysterious life. The Epic Games Store is running a promotion for all games in the series until 19 September.

Here's What We Know

The promotion is valid for three games: Mafia: Definitive Edition, Mafia II: Definitive Edition and Mafia III: Definitive Edition. Each of them can be purchased separately, which will be interesting even for those who have played only one or two games in this series.

Mafia: Definitive Edition is a remake of the first Mafia. The game takes place in the 1930s in the city of Lost Haven. We play as Tommy Angelo, a taxi driver who falls into the underworld, joins the mafia, and now he is on an adventure that will bring him fabulous money, emotions, and friends at first, but then this story will have many unexpected moments. Although the game was not very popular with fans, it has colourful characters, good missions and a well-rendered atmosphere of the US in the 1930s. The price of Mafia is $14 (more details can be found at this link).

Mafia II: Definitive Edition - The second part of the mafia crime saga takes us back to the 1940s and 50s in Empire Bay, New York, and tells the story of Vito Scaletta, an Italian-American young man who grew up in Sicily and after the end of World War II falls into the mafia world. The world of the game has become bigger, we have complete freedom of action of what we can do. This is the part fans like the most, although the remaster was criticised for poor optimisation at release, but the bugs should have been fixed by now. Mafia II costs $10 (for more details, follow this link).

Mafia III: Definitive Edition is the last part of the series so far. Fans hate this game the most, because Lincoln Clay, the main character, is not interesting compared to the previous parts. Also, there are monotonous missions, an uninteresting plot, a lot of bugs, and in general, this is not the Mafia that gamers loved. However, no one is stopping you from trying to play, because there are those who liked the game. Mafia III costs $10 (for more details, follow this link).

If you want to buy the entire trilogy at once, you can do it for $24 here.
