Pikmin 4 became the best-selling game in the series

In its new financial report for the last six months, Nintendo reported that the number of copies of Pikmin 4 sold is 2.61 million, making it the best-selling game in the entire series.

Here's What We Know

Until now, the most popular game in the series was Pikmin 3 Deluxe, which was released in October 2020 and had 2.4 million copies sold as of December 2022.

Of course, most of the sales are in Nintendo's home market, Japan, where the game has been the best-selling game for some time, according to Nintendo. Overall, more than half of the copies sold (1.36 million) are in Japan.

The game also continues to regularly rank in the top five of the physical edition charts in Japan, with around 930,000 physical copies sold there alone.
