IGN's editorial team named The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom the best game of 2023

The authoritative gaming portal IGN summarised the results of 2023 and named the best game.

For the title of Game of the Year IGN editorial staff considered 16 best projects of 2023, available on all platforms.

Both big-budget games such as Baldur's Gate 3, Resident Evil 4, Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty, Alan Wake 2 and Marvel's Spider-Man 2 competed for the title, as well as indie projects Cocoon, Dave the Diver, and a number of other hit games of the year.

According to IGN's editorial team, the Best Game of 2023 was Nintendo's The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom! It was this game that impressed the journalists the most with its huge number of mechanics, excellent open world and developers' attention to every detail of the game.

By the way, the journalists of Polygon also agree with their colleagues from IGN, who also gave credit to the Japanese game.
