Metroid Prime 4 was announced back in 2017 and since then there has been little to no news about the game.

The new instalment of the cult series was supposed to be released on Nintendo Switch, but it looks like it will be released on the next-gen console.

Here's What We Know

Such a conclusion is suggested by the material posted on the YouTube channel SuperMetalDave64.

The author studied the developers' profiles in social networks and other information from open sources and came to the conclusion that the game is in the final stage of production, and its full presentation, and maybe its release, will take place in 2024.

SuperMetalDave64 found out that Metroid Prime 4 testing has been going on since spring 2023, and experienced experts have been involved in the process, including Edwin Atwell, who has been testing Call of Duty games.

In addition, SuperMetalDave64 noticed that the developers at Retro Studios are working with NEXT-GEN Dreams 3D, a company that creates cinematic trailers of games from major studios, which could indicate that a new trailer will be shown soon, possibly revealing the release date of Metroid Prime 4.
