10 million units: that's the number at which sales of Nintendo's new console will kick off
Earlier we reported, with reference to Bloomberg journalists, that the new game console from Nintendo will have the largest display among all devices of the Japanese company, although engineers refused from OLED technology and settled for an 8-inch LCD-screen.
One of the authors of the article in Bloomberg supplemented the information with an important message.
Here's What We Know
In his Twitter account journalist Takashi Mochizuki shared that Nintendo plans to meet the high demand for a new gaming device and avoid shortages. Therefore, the company will release 10 million Nintendo Switch 2 (the name is notional) in the new fiscal year, which starts on 1 April 2024.
Given that Nintendo Switch sales have surpassed 132 million units in 6 years (since 2017), we can be sure that there will be just as much demand for the new model, which means Nintendo will have to work hard to provide everyone with the gadget.
