There is so much impressive hardware on the gaming scene. It used to be a bit niche and often buying any third party peripheral would just be a cheap mistake. Instead, we now have reliable keyboards and mice that get improved year after year. Gaming headsets that are perfect for any sound. Good speed monitors and many more things you may not have even asked about.

Razer is a brand that has been producing a variety of PC peripherals for as long as I can remember. The company makes everything from mice to gaming laptops. You may be familiar with their RGB tendencies, but Razer also shows off a fascination with haptic feedback that could get even crazier.

A company that believes that our skulls can be shaken with vibrating tactile headphones, and  our asses by the buzzing of gaming chairs(opens in a new tab), purchased Interhaptics. Interhaptics specializes in game reviews from a software perspective. They also focus on haptics for virtual reality and mixed reality systems. Razer attracts Interhaptics to work on your own tactile feedback HyperSense.

But it's more than just buying out a company. Founder and CEO Interhaptics Eric Vezzoli also goes to RazerVezzoli will perform the duties of the associate director of the department of tactile technologies at Razer, so it sounds like a pretty big push towards more vibrational stuff.

"Haptics has enormous value for gamers, said Vezzoli. "Joining Razer was a no-brainer for us as they strive to provide the most immersive gaming experience possible, and we look forward to doing this together as part of the family Razer».

With that Razer says that Interhaptic will still remain independent. This means that even if Razer doesn't branch out into VR haptics, we should still see some interesting innovations in this direction from Interhaptics in future.
