Media: GTA IV and Red Dead Redemption remasters frozen, but could come after GTA VI

Tez2 Insider the day before reported, that Rockstar Games was preparing re-releases of Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption, but canceled both projects.Today, a journalist from Kotaku, citing his sources, confirmed the rumor, but with a few caveats — in particular, remasters can still see the light of day.

Here's what Kotaku says:

• Rockstar has suspended development of the re-releases to focus on production of GTA VI and let the hype surrounding last year's flop GTA: The Trilogy die down.
• According to information from Kotaku, the updated Grand Theft Auto IV and Red Dead Redemption are not finalized and may be released after the sixth GTA.
• Neither source was able to share details on GTA VI's launch date - it's likely to be a long wait.
