In the first Half-Life, they want to set a new record for the community
Last year, fans of the Half-Life series collaborated to set a new record for the most simultaneous players in the second installment. This year they want to repeat the success, but already with the first part. Why? Because they can!
The action was called Remember Freeman. The rules are simple:
- Start - August 14.
- You need to play "vanilla" Half-Life for Steam. Not in Half-Life: Source, Opposing Force, Blue Shift or mods - they all don't count.
- It is necessary to spend at least half an hour in the game in order to accurately enter the tracking systems of the rating in Steam.
- Additional task: tell your friends about the action in social networks with the hashtag #RememberFreeman.
In addition, the promotion will be supported by a number of streamers who love the franchise. Currently, the record for the first Half-Life is 6,000 concurrent players. The game achieved this result in January 2020, when Valve made the Half-Life series temporarily free until the release of Half-Life: Alyx.
When the community reached a new population record in Half-Life 2, it was able to raise the bar of record online to 16,000 people. Judging by everything, they will also be able to overcome the peak of the first Half-Life.
