We already know that Call of Duty: Modern Warfare II is coming to Steam. Now Activision has issued dedicated publishing house page in the Valve service. According to users, this means that Activision is going to return to Steam in full.

Activision began abandoning Steam around 2017. The chronology of events and releases turned out to be approximately as follows:

  • Destiny 2 was released in 2017, but the PC version was a Battle.net exclusive. The game appeared on Steam in 2019, when Bungie gained independence from Activision.
  • 2018's Black Ops 4 was the first Call of Duty on PC not to be released on Steam. After that, the games of the series did not appear in the Valve store anymore.
  • Activision still did not abandon Steam completely: in 2018, Crash Bandicoot: N. Sane Trilogy was released there, in 2019 - Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and Sekyro: Reignited Trilogy.
  • Tone Hawk's Pro Skater 1 + 2 was an Epic Games Store exclusive, and Crash Bandicoot 4: It's About Time was a Battle.net exclusive.

It is not known how interested Activision is in moving all missed Call of Duty games to Steam, but users hope that at least Pro Skater 1 + 2 and Crash Bandiccot 4 will appear there. There is even good news about the latter: a record in the Steam database, which is associated with Crash Bandicoot 4, has started receiving updates after 2 years of silence.

It seems that Activision is preparing a standalone version of Battle.net that will be able to run in conjunction with Steam. So, you can reach the Blizzard games on the Valve site!
