Detroit: Become Human is set in the city of Detroit, but in a recent spin-off, the plot is transferred to another location - to Tokyo, Japan. Judging by everything, the reason is simple: the authors of the spin-off are Japanese, who focus on the audience in their country.

The Detroit: Become Human - Tosyo Stories manga will be the first official comic based on the game. The tie is constructed as follows:

The year 2038, Tokyo.

Humanity is actively getting acquainted with artificial intelligence in the form of robots - androids, whose intelligence and appearance are not at all inferior to human, and sometimes even surpass them. Androids began to fulfill various roles in the community and serve humanity.

In the USA, movements against androids are flourishing, and in Japan, on the contrary, the android idol "Reina" has become very popular - she proves that androids have a bright future.

But somewhere behind the scenes, androids encounter human anger, madness, greed and other emotions. There are people who have lost their profession.

Meanwhile, a "mutant" android appears, who has developed will and emotions, contrary to the established program. With the help of a living girl, a "mutant" free-thinker is spreading the revolution all over Japan."

The plot for Tosyo Stories is written by Saruwatari Kazami, and illustrations are done by Moto Sumida. The project is supervised by Quantic Dream, the creative studio of Detroit: Become Human.

Detroit: Become Human - Tosyo Stories is due out on July 22nd on the Japan-only version of Comic Bridge.
