The fighting game MultiVersus rushed on top of Steam even before its launch
MultiVersus - a fighting game in the style of Super Smash Bros., only with heroes that were reached by the Warner Bros. corporation. Before the official launch, the first users began to be launched into the game, and there are already enough of them to make MultiVersus rise to the top of the Steam charts.
At the time of writing, MultiVersus has more than 61,000 concurrent players and continues to grow. Such indicators allowed the fighting game to take 11th place in the current top by the number of players, while overtaking, for example, Dead by Daylight and Rocket League.
MultiVersus is shareware, but it will become so only from July 26. There are only three ways to get into the game right now:
- Be part of a previously closed alpha test.
- Get a key by watching streams on Twitch.
- Purchase one of the founder's kits - they cost from $39.99.
Accordingly, we cannot say that the game climbed so high only because of its freeness - now only those who are actively interested in fighting games or are ready to pay for it get into MultiVersus. The developers even faced technical issues that prevented gamers from getting into the game - apparently, on other platforms MultiVersus is also in demand if the servers are down.
