Dragon Age: Dreadwolf producer to head new D&D studio; and Magic: The Gathering
Wizards of the Coast, publisher of the board games Dungeons & Dragons and Magic: The Gathering, has opened the sixth video game studio, Skeleton Key.
The new team is based in Austin, and it's run by Christian Dailey, a former Bioware Austin executive producer who worked on Dragon Age: Dreadwolf and the Anthem reboot that never happened. The developer will also take on the role of vice president of Wizards of the Coast.
The studio will take on AAA games - apparently, horror games:
"Our mission is to create immersive gameplay, unique stories, and deeply meaningful moments of suspense and horror that help players have an interesting time confronting their fears."
Skeleton Key is currently looking for employees for key positions, so the studio's first game announcement will have to wait.
