Blizzard wants to know if players will buy skins for $45 in Overwatch 2
Overwatch 2 will have many changes, including a different approach to monetization and customization items. Instead of lootboxes, the game will introduce a combat pass and an in-game store. Judging by a recent survey, skins in the latter may cost up to $45.
For some time now Blizzard sends players different surveys, which ask, whether gamers will buy this or that upgrades for the proposed amount. The answers people can choose from range from "most likely buy" to "most likely not buy."
Pricing is as follows:
- Mythic skin - $44.99.
- Legendary set (skin, keychain, player icon, victory pose, voice replica, name card, graffiti) - $29.99.
- Legendary skin - $24.99.
- Best Match Animation $19.99.
- Gun Charm - $9.99.
- 3 Graffiti - $4.99.
The prices are most likely not final, but it is possible that they will end up in the announced area at the conclusion. Meanwhile, users have already started sharing their dissatisfaction on the Web. The inflated cost has not satisfied many - for one mythical account from the second part, you can buy more than fifty containers from the original Overwatch. Gamers are worried that with the game's transition to the free-to-play system, it will follow the same path of aggressive monetization as Diablo Immoral.
Whether the gamers' fears come true, you can check on October 4 on PC, PlayStation, Xbox and Nintendo Switch - that's when the early access to Overwatch 2 starts.
