Last year, when Microsoft announced its intention to acquire Activision Blizzard, gamers reasonably assumed that, at some point, games of the American developer will stop coming out on consoles PlayStation, because this device - from a direct competitor of Microsoft.

There has been a lot of speculation about this, and finally the official explanation came: from a financial point of view, Microsoft is not profitable to make popular franchises such as Call of Duty as exclusives on their platforms. It is written directly in the documents published by the Brazilian regulator, which is studying the legality of the deal between Activision Blizzard and Microsoft.

In addition, representatives of the Xbox brand have repeatedly stressed the importance of player comfort, and that it does not matter to them what devices gamers prefer to play on.

Taking into account the above arguments, we can say that at least the next few years, PlayStation users will not be without Call of Duty and other projects of Activision Blizzard.

Recall, the amount of the deal between Activision Blizzard and Microsoft will be a record $ 68.7 million.
