Colorful, bloody and brutal: a new trailer and release date anime Cyberpunk: Edgerunners

Streaming service Netflix has officially announced the release date of the animated series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners.

The anime based on the popular game Cyberpunk 2077 will be released on September 13, 2022. The release date has been announced in a colorful new trailer, which makes it clear that the series will be as adult and brutal as the source material.

The ten episodes of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners will tell the story of a group of young mercenaries trying to break through to the top of the Night City underworld. Many dangerous situations, shootouts and fights await them.

The series was produced by Japanese studio Studio Trigger, and the producers of the anime are the authors of Cyberpunk 2077 - the Polish company CD Projekt Red.

It's also interesting that the soundtrack of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners was written by composer Yamaoka Akira - the author of music in the Silent Hill series of video games.
