Atmospheric locations and spectacular armor in exclusive screenshots of the Gothic remake

German gaming portal GameStar published exclusive screenshots of the remake of the first part of the cult role-playing game Gothic.

In the presented footage you can easily recognize the familiar locations from the old game, but with the new graphics they look much more spectacular.

Fans will recognize the Old Camp market, the blacksmith's store, the gladiatorial arena and the wine cellar of Gomez's castle. Separate screenshots show the characters in the armor of Sect Camp and Old Camp.

Screenshots from the article of the German edition are only available to paid subscribers, but the images have already appeared in the public domain online.

What We Know about Gothic Remake:

• The project is being developed by the studio Alkimia Interactive with the support of THQ Nordic;
• The combat system in the remake will be significantly improved;
• The game's world will remain the same, but the developers promise to modernize the locations and add new places;
• The number of characters will increase, and the central characters will get more screen time.
