The lead character designer for Overwatch and Overwatch 2 announced his departure from Blizzard

Two weeks before Overwatch 2's release, Geoff Goodman - the leading designer of Overwatch and Overwatch 2 heroes - left the team.

It was thanks to this developer that so many bright and balanced heroes appeared in Blizzard's online shooter.

Blizzard management thanked Jeff Goodman for his productive collaboration:

We thank Jeff for his many years at Blizzard and wish him all the best. His ability to breathe life into Overwatch's diverse heroes through gameplay has been incredible, and his mark on the Warcraft and Overwatch teams will be felt for years to come.

Overwatch 2 will be released on October 4.

Recall that the day before the release of the second part, the servers of the first Overwatch will be shut down.
