Gearbox CEO admires the success of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands and announced the creation of a new franchise

The fantasy spin-off of the Borderlands series called Tiny Tina's Wonderlands was released in early 2022, received positive reviews from critics and is in demand among players. All in all, the game is a success - that's what Gearbox Software CEO Randy Pitchford confirmed.

Gearbox boss Randy Pitchford noted the success of Tiny Tina's Wonderlands at the Embracer Group's annual holding meeting:

Wonderlands has "blown away" our expectations both in terms of reviews and commercial success. I'm happy to report that not only do we have financial rewards to look forward to in the coming quarters from this win, but we also have a solid beachhead to work with. We now have a new franchise in our hands, and we are already working on future projects.

Randy Pitchford did not specify what the new projects are: additions to Tiny Tina's Wonderlands or full-fledged new games.
