A few days ago, Martin Luiga - one of the main game designers of the famous role-playing game Disco Elysium - said that ZA/UM Studio is going through a hard time, because many key developers, including him, have left the company. Martin Luiga assured that the remaining employees will still release a sequel to Disco Elysium someday, but "gamers will have to wait."

Now the game designer has reconsidered his point of view and said that in his opinion:

... ZA/UM Studio in its current form will not be developing a sequel, and I'm not sure how many people are left at the company who worked on the original Disco Elysium.

Flashback

A few days ago, PC Gamer released an updated list of the hundred best PC games, and it is Disco Elysium that deservedly tops the list. This game was released in 2019 and received the highest reviews from critics and surprised gamers with its unusual concept and great technical execution. It's a pity if such an unconventional and philosophical game doesn't get a sequel.
