The director of films based on Silent Hill confirmed the development of several new games in the series

Director Christophe Gans, who directed the first Silent Hill movie and is currently working on the next film in the series, confirmed media reports that several new games in the franchise are in development.

I'm working with the Silent Team, the original creators at Konami, there's a number of parts of the series in development right now, different teams are working on them, it's a long list of games that will revive the franchise.

Christophe Gans noted that the Polish studio Bloober Team is indeed working on a remake of Silent Hill 2.

Flashback

Insiders have repeatedly reported that Konami is in development on three new games:

1. The aforementioned Silent Hill 2 remake, which Bloober Team is working on.
2. Publisher Annapurna Interactive is working on an unknown Silent Hill game with an episodic narrative.
3. An unnamed Japanese studio is developing a brand new game in the Silent Hill series that will be a reboot of the franchise.
