Journalists from Polish gaming portal PPE were invited to the closed demonstration of Dead Space horror remake, and when the embargo on publishing materials about the game was lifted, they shared some interesting details about the project.
The PPE editors interviewed the project's Senior Producer Philippe Ducharme, where he revealed some details about the game.
- The Dead Space remake duration will slightly increase in comparison with the original game due to the addition of various tasks and new story scenes. The complexity of the game will also affect the timing.
- The remake will feature New Game+ mode, which will make the game even harder and more diverse with repeated playthroughs providing more challenging monsters. Fans of the maximum difficulty will be able to use the Impossible Mode, in which after the death of the hero the game will start over.
- On the pre-production stage EA Motive developers were considering the introduction of new network elements, such as PvP, PvE and cooperative passing, but after discussions with the fans of Dead Space came to the conclusion that the game should be a single player.
- The scale of the work is so great that the developers emphasize that the new Dead Space is a remake, not a remaster.
- The developers are not ready to announce whether they are going to work on the other Dead Space games, but they have a lot of space horror fans in their team, and we can't rule out that the series will continue.
Recall that Dead Space Remake will be released on January 27, 2023 on PC, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
