Blood, Flesh, and Horror: Australian ratings board gives age ratings to two anticipated horror movies - the Dead Space remake and The Callisto Protocol

The Australian Qualifying Commission has given age ratings to two very similar horror games: the Dead Space remake and The Callisto Protocol.

The updated game about the misadventures of Isaac Clarke was rated MA (15+) and Glen Schofield's new game, The Callisto Protocol, was rated as more violent and scary as it was rated R (18+).

Both games are described as having a lot of violence, blood, dismembered bodies, suicides and other horror-related elements. However The Callisto Protocol was considered by Australian experts to be more shocking for a certain group of people than Dead Space.

The Callisto Protocol will be released on December 2, the game has already gone gold, so there is no need to postpone the release.

The Dead Space remake will have to wait until January 27, 2023.
