Creepy. Interesting. Complicated. Modern. First previews of the horror game The Callisto Protocol by the creator of the cult Dead Space game are published
Today an embargo on the publication of preview materials about the horror The Callisto Protocol from the creator of the cult Dead Space game Glenn Schofield was lifted, and some gaming portals have shared their impressions about the game.
In general, journalists noted that, yes, The Callisto Protocol repeats Dead Space, it is about the gameplay, design locations, monsters, grim atmosphere and overall style.
But in the details there are differences, for example, the combat system is clearly designed with melee fighting in mind. The hero is more agile than Isaac Clarke, more dexterous in dodging monsters and using different weapons in combat.
The entourage has also changed: instead of an abandoned spaceship inhabited by creepy creatures (Dead Space), players will find themselves in a prison on Callisto - one of the satellites of Jupiter. However, the situation there is not much better than on Ishimura.
Journalists noted the rather high complexity of The Callisto Protocol: there are a lot of monsters, they hurt, ammo runs out quickly, and first-aid kits are in short supply. But the developers really gave a lot of variants of the hero's death, so it is not annoying to rewalk through one and the same episode for several times.
In fact, this is the space horror that Scofield fans have been waiting for.
Gamers will be able to see for themselves on December 2, when The Callisto Protocol will be released on PC, Xbox and PlayStation.
