The new Mass Effect: all fans managed to decipher from the 25-second teaser
Yesterday, in honor of N7 Day, BioWare studio unveiled a new teaser for the next Mass Effect.
Details
Since all the information in the teaser was carefully veiled, the fans parsed its every frame, and here are the conclusions the community came to:
- the huge object on the screen is most likely an unfinished new repeater, as hinted at by the writing on the MR-7 board;
- the colors of the repeater indicate that it belongs to Cerberus Corporation. Consequently, it is not destroyed;
- there is a ship moving in the lower right corner of the screen. The community assumes it is either Captain Shepard's Normandy, Tempest from Mass Effect Andromeda, or the Mudskipper from the few materials about the new game presented earlier;
- the numbers at the bottom of the image may indicate that the events of the new part will unfold in the year 2190, four years after the end of the third part of the game;
- the title of the file indicates that it has been hijacked by the Alliance;
- the teaser hints that the sequel is based on the "red" ending of Part 3, in which Captain Shepard decided to destroy the synthetic life-forms and presumably survived.
Of course, fans also picked apart the teaser's soundtrack. After processing, Liara's voice is clearly audible, and she says the following:
The Council will be furious, although they should already know not to underestimate people. How did we miss this?
Today the official sound transcript from the teaser was published on the Mass Effect Twitter account, and it fully confirms the rightness of the game's fans.
As we can see, the 25-second clip will give the fans a lot of interesting information, but we'll find out if it will be confirmed in time.
As a bonus, game director Mike Gamble posted on his Twitter account new concept art for the next Mass Effect game.
