The game is the "spiritual successor" of LucasArts X-Wing and TIE-Fighter. The game is set in the last days of the Galactic Empire after the sixth episode of the Return of the Jedi saga. Players will be able to participate in space battles both in co-op and in the company. The game also has support for virtual reality headsets.

Star Wars: Squadrons will be available for free to add to your Epic Games Store library starting next Thursday, November 24.
