Game director of the Bayonetta series hinted at a possible sequel to the iconic slasher
Recently the third part of the slasher Bayonetta 3 was released, and it was positioned as the finale of the witch's story with the same name.
However, Japanese studio PlatinumGames seems to have no intention to finish the work on this franchise.
Here's What We Know
Bayonetta game director Hideki Kamiya hinted on his personal Twitter account that fans of the game should be prepared for announcements. Probably this way the game designer decided to find out if the audience would like to see the sequel to Bayonetta. Or maybe the studio is already developing a new part of the game.
("I think we're in for some unexpected events... please wait...")
Spoiler-free, Bayonetta 3's ending suggests a continuation of the story, but (possibly) with a new heroine.
Considering that the new part of Bayonetta was a hit and the game received excellent reviews, PlatinumGames may well be interested in further development of the series.
