Warzone 2.0 players report bug that forces them to buy Modern Warfare II to play the game

Players in Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0 complain that they are blocked in the game if they do not have Modern Warfare II.

For the first time the problem was discussed in the subreddit community earlier this week and for some players it was indeed solved, but given the fact that the number of votes in the poll about the bug is increasing, some people still have this problem to this day. At the time of writing, there are no official reports from Infinity Ward or Raven Software.

It is believed that the reason may be a common game launcher, but without official confirmation from the developers at this time it is only an assumption. It's also a bit confusing that the problem seems to mostly affect players who already have a few matches under their belt.

In any case, if you encounter this problem in the game and are not eager to buy Modern Warfare II, then you can only wait for the bug to be fixed.
