The head of Microsoft's gaming division Phil Spencer made an unexpected, even sensational announcement!

Here's What We Know

On his Twitter account, Phil Spencer announced that the American corporation has signed a deal with Nintendo to release Call of Duty games on their consoles. The contract is for ten years and will only take effect once the deal between Microsoft and Activision Blizzard is finalized.

Why It Matters

This is probably Microsoft's way of getting Nintendo's support for the complicated details of the deal with Activision Blizzard.

There were earlier reports that Sony was also offered a similar contract, but judging by insiders, it ignored it.

Obviously, Nintendo's support will be very important to Phil Spencer's plans, although Sony is not giving up either.
