On FromSoftware studio's head Hidetaka Miyazaki and game director of Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon Masaru Yamamura were interviewed.

The talk was about the new project from the Japanese studio, which was recently announced at The Game Awards 2022 and caused a huge interest from the audience.

Here's What We Know

The developers said, that by creating Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon, gamemakers from FromSoftware were staking on the single player experience. There will be the network elements in the game, but they will be limited by PvP-battles. But the co-op mode is not provided.

In terms of the plot, Armored Core VI will not be a direct continuation of the previous part of the series, and will be a separate game.

The reason is that since the release of the fifth part about ten years have passed, and during this time, the Japanese studio has gained a new audience, who is not familiar with the Armored Core franchise.

As in all FromSoftware games, the main emphasis in Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is placed on the thought-out combat system and battles with mighty bosses.

When We Can Expect It

The exact release date for Armored Core VI: Fires of Rubicon is unknown, but the developers plan to release it on PC, PS5, Xbox Series, PS4 and Xbox One in 2023.
